E-mail from "Reverend" Jim Sutter, (Under the alias of `Thierry from Switzerland") Received October 27, 2007 Over the last two years, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has made the most of two "death threats" that it received in e-mail, even though the FBI quickly determined both to be non-credible. For weeks on end in December of 2006, and again this summer, visitors to the CAIR website were treated to articles that charted the organization's hysterics over these two [presumably] threatening messages. CAIR never made the contents of the e-mail public, however. The words quoted above are actually from a message that I received two weeks ago from someone purporting to be an organizer of a terror cell for random attacks against Muslims. Eleven o'clock at night is not the best time to approach the editor of an anti-terror website with plans to commit terror attacks against innocent people. The sender was promptly extended a cordial invitation to perform a particular action on himself. Afterwards, the e-mail was forwarded to CAIR with an explicit request for advice on whom else to notify regarding my concerns. I also mentioned that the sender was using an American e-mail account and may very well be in the U.S. My assumption was that CAIR had a direct contact at the Justice Department or Homeland Security with whom they could put me in touch. To my surprise, an entire week went by with no word from CAIR, despite two follow-up e-mails. There was no acknowledgment from them, nor was there any attempt to gain additional information from me or to put me in contact with the proper authorities. Neither did they post any news of this on their website. This is certainly suspicious given CAIR's history and the tantrums that it has thrown in the past over far less serious issues. For example, the organization howled when a Muslim woman on a flight from Britain was asked by a stewardess to lower her veil. CAIR also documents every rude comment toward and hurt feeling suffered by Muslims in America and elsewhere. It even raised a ruckus when private Christian charities included religious material along with humanitarian aid packages to Indonesian tsunami victims. So why would CAIR completely ignore a threat to randomly kill Muslims, particularly when it piques even the concern of one of the organization's own foes? As it turn out, the answer is quite simple. Unbeknownst to CAIR, I also made the FBI and one other organization aware of the e-mail, and I subsequently learned that the person behind it is a 51-year-old Cleveland, Ohio area man named Jim Sutter. Sutter is a disturbed man whose only real claim to fame is having successfully used e-mail aliases to persuade the Internet's largest censorware providers to block websites that do not share his particular ideology (including my own). Sutter also calls himself "Reverend" and claims to be a highly decorated Navy Seal combat veteran who holds the Navy Cross and four Purple Hearts. He says that he has three doctorates and two master degrees, and claims to speak eleven languages, including Arabic. In fact, all of Sutter's "degrees" are mail order certificates, his title of "reveren

The wave of terror that was unleashed on the world in the past few decades is widely referred to as "Islamic terrorism" (or Islamist terrorism); the term is an apt description of the facts, and has a strong credibility among academicians, in the international media and with the ordinary citizen all over the world, with the exception of the Muslim countries. In return, The Muslim world, and specifically the Muslims of the West, introduced defensive terms such as "Islamophobia", which has become the current favorite for dozens of Islamic organizations in the West. The term "phobia" denotes an unreasonable, perhaps imaginary fear, one that is a mental disorder. The new term "Islamolphobia" has served those organizations well in their fervent promotion of two false concepts: * First, that the legitimate fear that Islam is being misused by Terrorists is in fact a prejudice against Islam itself and a kind of phobia; and * Second, that Terrorists do not represent Islam. If Terrorists do not indeed represent Islam, then why do religious authorities in Muslim countries refrain from voicing an absolute condemnation of the Terrorists, why aren't they called infidels and renegades, and why allow them to remain part of the Islamic Body?

Sunday the 21th October was not only a severe attack on freedom of speech but an attempt to close the mouth forever on an organisation who stands up for freedom, freedom of speech and for democracy. Small details were the reason why it didn't ended up with murder like in Holland, on one of the brave advocate's for freedom of expression who dare to stand in the frontline.
More on the "Islamo-fascism" fallacy

I gave in and read a article by Christopher Hitchens at Slate (there is also a excerpt from it at LGF followed by many comments) in which he defends the term "Islamo-fascism." The piece seems learned, but is sophomoric. It is slick ignorance parading as deep knowledge. Echoing an unfortunate Tony Blankley editorial in the Washington Times a year ago, Hitchens lists various obvious similarities between jihadism and fascism: violence, power-seeking, anti-intellectualism, nostalgia for lost glories, worship of a leader, hatred of Jews, etc., and for him these parallels prove that the words "Islam" and "fascism" are legally married. The basic problem is that Islam, being sui generis, can only be properly understood in its own terms. To explain jihadism as a type of fascism is to explain Islam in terms of something other than itself, and so is fundamentally to misunderstand it. The Islamic rules of war and truce, the Islamic rules of dhimmitude, the Islamic rules of marriage and sexual relations, the Islamic rules concerning treatment of apostates, are neither based on nor analogous to any Western belief system; they are, as Andrew Bostom points out over and over, uniquely Islamic. But Western intellectuals love their non-Islam theories of Islamic extremism, because they don't want to bother learning about any subject that is truly non-Western and that does not fit into their familiar concepts. If they can describe Islam as "fascism," they feel satisfied, confident that they have now comprehended Islam and that they know how to deal with it. We've defeated fascism before, they tell their readers, and we can do it again. And so they trot out yet more false analogies, to World War II and to the Cold War (though there the analogy is to Communist totalitarianism rather than to the Fascist kind) which are delusive and dangerous because they don't portray Islam as it actually is.

From the page: "Islamic Blog: "Terrorism is Part of Islam" terrorism_part_islam_caravanofmartyrs.jpg A moment of honesty from Muslim blogger "Caravan of Martyrs". Terrifying & horrifying honesty. Quoting a book "caravanofmartyrs" says: oeTerrorism is a part of Islaam; And whosoever denies that, he has disbelieved” ... Therefore, we are obliged to have taassie (resemblance) to the messengers and to the messenger Muhammad (saw), to always speak the Haq [truth] wherever we are and not to fear any consequences. Thanks for the clarification! Instead of trying to convince non-believers that Islam is a religion of peace, wouldn't it be nice if CAIR and MPACUK focused their attention on Muslims like "caravanofmartyrs" instead? Let's see, which is more of a threat? 1) Muslim who believes that terrorism is integral part of Islam. 2) Non Muslims suspicious of Muslims because they might just believe that Islam promotes terrorism."

It soon became clear why these particular documents had not been directed to the West. They were theological treatises, revolving around what Islam commands Muslims to do vis--vis non-Muslims. The documents rarely made mention of all those things -- Zionism, Bush's "Crusade," malnourished Iraqi children -- that formed the core of Al Qaeda's messages to the West. Instead, they were filled with countless Koranic verses, hadiths (traditions attributed to the Prophet Muhammad), and the consensus and verdicts of Islam's most authoritative voices. The temporal and emotive language directed at the West was exchanged for the eternal language of Islam when directed at Muslims. Or, put another way, the language of "reciprocity" was exchanged for that of intolerant religious fanaticism. There was, in fact, scant mention of the words "West," "U.S.," or "Israel." All of those were encompassed by that one Arabic-Islamic word, "kufr" -- "infidelity" -- the regrettable state of being non-Muslim that must always be fought through "tongue and teeth." - from this article by Raymond Ibrahim Jorn Holme, and all those who continue to believe that there is something called "Islamism" that is a threat, and something called "Islam" that is not a threat, that is perfectly fine, that makes no claims on Infidel institutions or Infidel lives, should start, perhaps, by reading the article, linked above, by Raymond Ibrahim that has just appeared in the Chronicle of Higher Education. Ibrahim, who is a researcher in the Near East Division of the Library of Congress, has had the intelligence to publish the writings of Al Qaeda members. Ibrahim noticed that these assorted manifestos and appeals, when addressed to Infidel audiences, always contained some rhetoric about such obvious "grievances" as Iraq, "Palestine," Kashmir, Kosovo, and so on. This litany, however, was completely absent from the writings and speeches directed at fellow Muslims. For them, Bin Laden, Al-Zawahiri, and others had no need to deceive ("war is deception") but could stick to Islam -- plain Islam.

The once vibrant Christian communities of Bethlehem and Nazareth, with roots in the "land of Jesus" going back to first century Israel, are rapidly declining in the face of a systematic campaign of persecution conducted by the same Muslim terrorists intent on driving the Jews into the sea. Beatings, sham legal proceedings, property seizures, dismissal and replacement of elected Christian leaders, accusations of selling property to Jews and intimidation by gunmen with links to the government of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have so reduced Christian populations in the cities of Jesus' birth and boyhood one community leader predicts all Christians will be gone within 15 years.
In "Schmoozing with Terrorists: From Hollywood to the Holy Land Jihadists Reveal their Global Plans – to a Jew!" author and WND Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein chronicles his meetings and interviews with leaders of terror groups and Islamist organizations long accused of intimidation and violence against Mideast Christians. 'No more Christians in Bethlehem' For part of one chapter, Klein travels to Bethlehem to meet with the city's Christians and with its terrorist leaders. Bethlehem consisted of upwards of 80 percent Christians when Israel was founded in 1948, but since the Palestinian Authority took over in 1995 the Christian population has declined to about 23 percent with a large majority of Muslims. The 23 percent Christian statistic is considered generous since it includes the satellite towns of Beit Sahour and Beit Jala. Some estimates place Bethlehem's actual Christian population as low as 12 percent, with hundreds of Christians emigrating per year. In "Schmoozing," Klein first talks with Bethlehem-area Christian leaders and residents, most of whom spoke on condition of anonymity, who said they face an atmosphere of regular hostility and intimidation by Muslims. They said Palestinian armed groups stir tension by holding militant demonstrations and marches in the streets. They spokes of instances in which Christian shopkeepers' stores were recently ransacked and Christian homes attacked.

The Los Angeles Times tut-tuts the "ignorance" of Islam that has led Americans to think that it is different from Judaism and Christianity, and encourages violence. Now where could they have gotten crazy ideas like those? Safaa Ibrahim, executive director of the Bay Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, is "not surprised. It's difficult to remove the tarnish of twisted interpretations of terrorists from what Islam means." As this statement comes from a representative of a group that has been named an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror funding case, it's easy to see why it is so difficult. The larger problem here is that neither CAIR nor any other Muslim group in the West has ever attempted to untwist the "twisted interpretations of terrorists." For example, CAIR signed and pushed the Fiqh Council of North America's condemnation of terrorism, which condemned the killing of innocent civilians, but neither the Council nor CAIR ever explained who exactly is an innocent civilian -- and some jihadists claim that no non-Muslim can possibly be innocent. It also might be easier for CAIR to untwist the twisted terrorist interpretations of Islam if they would specify who are the terrorists whose interpretations need to be refuted. CAIR officials have consistently and on many occasions refused to condemn Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.
The "Islamist" penetration of America that we are doing nothing to prevent

From the page: "The "Islamist" penetration of America that we are doing nothing to prevent Yousseff Ibrahim, a moderate or secular Muslim who writes regularly in the New York Sun, has a deeply alarming article on the "Islamist" penetration into America via media. I've copied the entire text below. Following the article, I ask mainstream conservatives how this "Islamist" penetration of America can be stopped. THE ISLAMIST TROJAN HORSE Youssef Ibrahim September 20, 2007 "We're fighting them there, so we don't have to fight them here" has become a hymn for the American right and an abominable lie to the left. But drowned out by all the noise is the fact that "they" are here already, having landed a long time ago and gotten very busy indeed constructing the American wing of jihad. Have you watched the Arabic Channel, also known as TAC, which serves the New York region? Probably not, as most New Yorkers neither understand nor speak Arabic. But if you are among the estimated 1 million viewers--legal and illegal, new and old Arabic-speaking immigrants to the tri-state area--who tune in daily to Channel 507 on Time Warner Cable, this is what you can get: - A daily dose of Islamic jurisprudence from an Egyptian sheik, Amr Khaled, who comes direct from Cairo as TAC's prime advocate of "peaceful jihad," on how the duty of every Arab-American is to become first, second, and only a member of the Muslim Ummah. - A nightly helping of Syria's CNN-style digest of the world, sent fresh from a Damascus studio where the Iraq war is nothing but an American butchery of Arabs, and the Zionist regime in Jerusalem is just biding its time until it gets what it deserves. - A sprinkling of Egyptian and Syrian soap operas (though TAC completely avoids footage of "Oriental" dancing and other "infidel" joys of life). On its Web site, TAC says it is now 14 years old and serves the "Greater New York City Metropolitan area, including Jersey City, Bergen County, N.J., and Mt. Vernon, N.Y." through cable and satellite transmission. TAC's ownership and funding are, to put it mildly, ambiguous. What is clear is that someone is funding this Islamist Trojan Horse already anchored inside the American fortress. Another Islamist Trojan vehicle that was once quietly thriving in America--until it was shut down by presidential order in 2001--is the now infamous Holy Land Foundation, whose recent prosecution by the American government is in its final phase. At the Holy Land Foundation's trial in U.S. District Court in Dallas, the foundation and its many chapters stand accused of allegedly collecting some $57 million for radical Islamic causes and using the money as direct or indirect donations to the Palestinian Arab terrorist organization Hamas. Among other things, Holy Land is accused of allegedly organizing conferences and festivals with Hamas officials at which anti-Israel skits were performed as small children danced and waved flags. But the process was going on long before the Holy Land termination order and trial. It is na¯ve to not recognize the fusion between such militant proselytizing and the message spread by TAC. Seemingly separate but unquestionably part of the same process of spreading militancy among immigrant Arab communities was the Debbie Almontaser episode of the Khalil Gibran School saga, in which what she saw as a benign use of the word "intifada" led to her being forced to quit as the school's principal. Neither Ms. Almontaser's project nor her unstated intention to create a Muslim school in Brooklyn under the guise of multiculturalism took place in a void. The common task among all these organizations and individuals is to instill the notion there are no Arab-Americans, only Muslim Americans. What follows next, of course, is the "community's" eventual embrace of jihad against the values and policies of the majority infidel. This is what has taken place in Britain among native British subjects of Muslim origin. For those who do not understand Arabic, of course, there is the new Al-Jazeera in English, whose slick, transplanted British broadcasters and directors are dedicated to expanding the notion that America and Israel are always aggressive and morally wrong. Al-Jazeera in English is accessible via the Internet and gains greater access every day to satellite dishes and bigger audiences, all of it sponsored by our ally, the government of the tiny emirate Qatar. While American law enforcement is getting pretty good at spotting violence that emerges in the style of another paramilitary attack, a friend in the national security community in Washington told me that there "are no vehicles nor a body of laws" to stop or monitor that other kind of slow implantation. Yaroslav Trofimov, a Wall Street Journal correspondent and the author of two impressive books, "Faith at War" and "The Siege of Mecca," travels exte
