Karadzic’s Arrest: Bosnian Myths Rehashed

The spirit of the media frenzy surrounding the arrest of the former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic on July 21 is based entirely on the doctrine of non-equivalence inaugurated in 1992: Serbs willed the war, Muslims wanted peace; Serb crimes are bad and justly exaggerated, Muslim crimes are understandable.
This doctrine was spectacularly reiterated a month before Karadzic’s capture, when the Muslim wartime commander of Srebrenica, Nasir Oric, was found not guilty by The Hague Tribunal of any responsibility for the killing of thousands of Serb civilians by the forces under his command in the three years before the fall of the enclave in July 1995. It is also apparent today, in the endless media repetition of Karadzic’s alleged bellicose intransigence before and during the Bosnian war.
UNRESOLVED ISSUE OF WAR GUILT
The imbalance is more than merely unfair. The talking heads gloating over Karadzic’s capture no longer need to suppress the thought that different U.S. policies could have prevented the horror of “Bosnia,” because no such thought—however pertinent in this case—ever occurs to them. Yet the fact remains that in the spring of 1992 the late Warren Zimmermann, the last U.S. ambassador to Yugoslavia before its breakup and civil war, materially contributed—probably more than any other single man—to the outbreak of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The facts of the case have been established beyond reasonable doubt and are no longer dosputed by experts.
Nine months earlier, in June 1991, Slovenia and Croatia declared independence, a move that triggered off a short war in Slovenia and a sustained conflict in Croatia where the Serbs refused to accept Tudjman’s fait accompli. These events had profound consequences on Bosnia and Herzegovina, that “Yugoslavia in miniature.” The Serbs (34%) adamantly opposed the idea of Bosnian independence. The Croats (17%) predictably rejected any suggestion that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains within a Serb-dominated rump Yugoslavia.
Alija Izetbegovic, the leader of the Muslim community (43%), had decided as early as September 1990 that Bosnia should also declare independence if Slovenia and Croatia secede. On 27 February 1991 he went a step further: “I would sacrifice peace for a sovereign Bosnia-Herzegovina, but for that peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina I would not sacrifice sovereignty.” The process culminated with the referendum on independence (29 February 1992). The Serbs duly boycotted it. In the end just over 62 percent of voters opted for independence, overwhelmingly Muslims and Croats; but even this figure was short of the two-thirds majority required by the constitution. This did not stop the rump government of Izetbegovic from declaring independence on 3 March.
Simultaneously one last attempt was under way to save peace. The Portuguese foreign minister Jose Cutileiro organized a conference in Lisbon attended by the three communities’ leaders, Izetbegovic, Radovan Karadzic, and the Croat leader Mate Boban. The EU mediators persuaded the three sides that Bosnia-Herzegovina should be independent but internally organized on the basis of ethnic regions or “cantons.”
The breakthrough was due to the Bosnian Serbs’ acceptance of an independent Bosnia, provided that the Muslims give up their ambition of a centralized, unitary one. Izetbegovic appeared to accept that this was the best deal he could make—but soon he was to change his mind. When he returned from Lisbon, Zimmermann flew post haste from Belgrade to Sarajevo to tell him that the U.S. did not stand behind the Cutileiro plan. He said it was a means to “a Serbian power grab” that could be prevented by internationalizing the problem. When Izetbegovic said that he did not like the Lisbon agreement, Zimmerrmann encouraged him to renege. State Department subsequently admitted that the US policy “was to encourage Izetbegovic to break with the partition plan.” The New York Times (August 29, 1993) brought a revealing quote from the key player himself:

The problem with gossip, innuendo and plain lying which the Reverend Jim Sutter has mastered creatively, is that without facts, this so called religious person is speculating---we all know that he is not some present day 007 Super Sleuth gathering Intelligence on American Citizens, that was a job that Major Frank Burns wanted on MASH---Intelligence Gatherer for Colonel Flagg.
The scriptures teach us repeatedly that we should not bear false witness against our neighbor (see: Exodus 23:1; Deuteronomy 5:20; Proverbs 6:16-19) truth has escaped the Reverend Jim Sutter for so long claiming to be a Super Spook for U.S. Intelligence that he may actually believe what he says is true? The fact is, the Reverend Jim Sutter does not know reality from his own make believe.
It may be that we should feel sadden that the Reverend James Sutter may actually believe himself to be the real life William J. Casey incarnate.

Over the last two years, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has made the most of two "death threats" that it received in e-mail, even though the FBI quickly determined both to be non-credible. For weeks on end in December of 2006, and again this summer, visitors to the CAIR website were treated to articles that charted the organization's hysterics over these two [presumably] threatening messages.
CAIR never made the contents of the e-mail public, however. The words quoted above are actually from a message that I received two weeks ago from someone purporting to be an organizer of a terror cell for random attacks against Muslims.
Eleven o'clock at night is not the best time to approach the editor of an anti-terror website with plans to commit terror attacks against innocent people. The sender was promptly extended a cordial invitation to perform a particular action on himself. Afterwards, the e-mail was forwarded to CAIR with an explicit request for advice on whom else to notify regarding my concerns. I also mentioned that the sender was using an American e-mail account and may very well be in the U.S. My assumption was that CAIR had a direct contact at the Justice Department or Homeland Security with whom they could put me in touch.
To my surprise, an entire week went by with no word from CAIR, despite two follow-up e-mails. There was no acknowledgment from them, nor was there any attempt to gain additional information from me or to put me in contact with the proper authorities. Neither did they post any news of this on their website.
This is certainly suspicious given CAIR's history and the tantrums that it has thrown in the past over far less serious issues.
For example, the organization howled when a Muslim woman on a flight from Britain was asked by a stewardess to lower her veil. CAIR also documents every rude comment toward and hurt feeling suffered by Muslims in America and elsewhere. It even raised a ruckus when private Christian charities included religious material along with humanitarian aid packages to Indonesian tsunami victims.
So why would CAIR completely ignore a threat to randomly kill Muslims, particularly when it piques even the concern of one of the organization's own foes?
As it turn out, the answer is quite simple.
Unbeknownst to CAIR, I also made the FBI and one other organization aware of the e-mail, and I subsequently learned that the person behind it is a 51-year-old Cleveland, Ohio area man named Jim Sutter. Sutter is a disturbed man whose only real claim to fame is having successfully used e-mail aliases to persuade the Internet's largest censorware providers to block websites that do not share his particular ideology (including my own).
Sutter also calls himself "Reverend" and claims to be a highly decorated Navy Seal combat veteran who holds the Navy Cross and four Purple Hearts. He says that he has three doctorates and two master degrees, and claims to speak eleven languages, including Arabic.

Couple of weeks ago independent UK journalist and columnist Neil Clark brought up an important issue most internet users who consider Wikipedia a reliable source of information on a whole range of issues, including history and politics, are entirely unaware of -- that Wikipedia is infiltrated by the Western secret services which use it to manipulate truth and prevent the inconvenient facts reaching the wider public, by planting their governments' official versions of events through Wiki articles.
It was Dr. Ludwig De Braeckeleer who first reported about this sobering discovery. He stumbled upon it while researching the material for article regarding a terrorist attack from 1988, only to find that popular online encyclopedia has removed the crucial bits of information from the previous piece, at the same time blocking further edits.
Free Press? Yeah, Right!
De Braeckeleer writes: "Conducting false flag operations and planting disinformation in the mainstream media have long belonged to the craft of the spies. In the months preceding the 1953 overthrow of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh, U.S. and U.K. intelligence agencies used both techniques abundantly [...] According to clues accumulated by ordinary citizens around the world, it could be that the CIA and other intelligence agencies are riding the information wave and planting disinformation on Wikipedia. If so, tens of thousands of innocent and unwitting citizens around the world are translating and propagating their lies, providing these agencies with a universal news network."
According to the 2002 Reuters article, "recognizing that sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword, the CIA has a colorful history of planting false information in media outlets overseas, with results ranging from irritating the Soviet Union to paving the way for a coup in Latin America."
Being part of the agenda-setting elite itself Reuters, of course, prefers to present the scandal as an exclusive "overseas" practice, focusing mainly on subversive disinformation-spreading operations aimed against former Soviet Union. It magnanimously ignores CIA tentacles swarming throughout US universities and American news agencies, including Associated Press, responsible for the bulk of (dis)information regularly carried in each and every American and other English-language media outlets (professor De Braeckeleer touches upon those connections in the linked article).
Reuters piece also fails to mention the series of color-coded revolutions, aimed at mass-scale regime changes in Eastern Europe during the 1990s, but it is certainly no secret that every single coup toppling the regimes in that part of the world, from the Polish "Velvet Revolution" to October 2000 "Otpor" (Resistance) farce in Serbia, and "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine a bit later, were CIA-orchestrated and run operations.
A number of independent researchers have also established CIA's direct involvement in spreading carefully crafted disinformation through the largest American news network, CNN, especially during the 1999 NATO bombardment of Serbia. But, thanks to paralyzing self-censorship, compliance and servitude that holds all of Western MSM in a deadly grip, every similar discovery is destined to be drowned in silence as soon as it surfaces.

At 6:30 am on Saturday, December 22, while most were snug in bed, resting up for Christmas activities, veteran pro-lifer Ed Snell was arriving at Hillcrest Abortion Center, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He had come with two other activists to persuade women entering the clinic not to abort their pre-born children.
The group customarily meets at the clinic and has saved many lives. In fact, they have been so effective, that the clinic erected a 7-foot privacy fence to cut off all communication between the women and the pro-lifers. However, their efforts were scuttled, when the activists began bringing ladders so they could speak over the fence.
Mr. Snell, age 69, preferred to stand on a more solid foundation, so he constructed a plywood platform on the roof of his car to elevate him above the fence.
"This platform gives him a real steady base and a commanding view," said fellow activist and eyewitness John McTernan. As Ed stood on his platform that morning, a man and woman exited a car in the parking lot and proceeded towards that door of the abortion mill.
When Mr. Snell tried to counsel the woman, his words were cut short when the man became furious, jumped the fence and, in the words of Mr. McTernan, "leaped on the vehicle with Ed and catapulted him off of the vehicle and onto the ground." Mr. Snell hit his back and head on the pavement and was knocked unconscious.
His medical report outlines the extent of his injuries: "multiple trauma, right subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the area between the brain and the tissues that cover the brain), compression fractures of four vertebrae (T3, T4, T5 and T10), right scapula fracture and fracture of the fourth and fifth ribs." Before doctors were able to stop the bleeding in his head, they even feared Mr. Snell would die.
When asked on the phone about the vicious attack, the receptionist at Hillcrest Abortion Clinic refused to give a recorded statement and angrily shouted: "He got what he deserved! He earned what he got!" She then hung up the phone.
Immediately after the attack, Mr. McTernan ran over to Ed and was frightened to see that he was unconscious and breathing irregularly. He reported the attack to "911" and then shouted to the assailant: "You assaulted him and he is unconscious." Agitated, the man replied: "I did not assault him, I just pushed him," with an aggressiveness that made Mr. McTernan fearful for his own safety.
Ed was taken away in an ambulance and three police officers arrived to investigate. They went into the clinic, where the assailant was waiting. After a few moments, the assailant and his companion left the clinic freely, got into their car and drove away.
Shocked, Mr. McTernan shouted to the police: "What are you doing? That's him! That's the assailant!"
One cop replied: "It is none of your business!"
Mr. McTernan: "I am making it my business, Ed Snell is my good friend!"
The officer then threatened to arrest Mr. McTernan for interfering with a criminal investigation. Mr. Mcternan replied: "Go ahead and arrest me, I am not afraid. I want to know why the assailant walked away from this scene where an elderly man was left unconscious. We have excellent attorneys and we will sue you if you do not do your job."

University to students: 'All whites are racist'
A mandatory University of Delaware program requires residence hall students to acknowledge that "all whites are racist" and offers them "treatment" for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality they might hold upon entering the school, according to a civil rights group.''

Referring to the mandatory re-education program, the 'residence life education program', FIRE says
The University of Delaware's residence life education program is a grave intrusion into students' private beliefs," FIRE President Greg Lukianoff said. "The university has decided that it is not enough to expose its students to the values it considers important; instead, it must coerce its students into accepting those values as their own. At a public university like Delaware, this is both unconscionable and unconstitutional."
The university's views are forced on students through a comprehensive manipulation of the residence hall environment, from mandatory training sessions to "sustainability" door decorations. Students living in the university's eight housing complexes are required to attend training sessions, floor meetings, and one-on-one meetings with their Resident Assistants (RAs). The RAs who facilitate these meetings have received their own intensive training from the university, including a "diversity facilitation training" session at which RAs were taught, among other things, that "[a] racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality."
I wonder if some thought I was exaggerating for rhetorical effect when I said at various times. that the PC commissars maintain that 'all whites are racists', with no exceptions. The quote above spells it out: all those of European descent, regardless of 'class, gender, religion, culture, or sexuality' are racists. And since these same leftists believe that to be a 'racist' is to be a vile person, worthy of losing the right to free speech, or livelihood, this kind of blanket condemnation should be distressing to all European-descended people.
